Republicans Schedule International Summer Recess Trips to Find New Wars to Fund

Republican members of Congress are finalizing summer travel plans that will take them to various international destinations in search of new wars to fund with American taxpayer money.

"We would literally fund a domestic violence dispute at this point," Senator Lindsey Graham said. "We just need something." The South Carolina Republican noted that the trips would allow lawmakers to assess conditions firsthand and determine which conflicts align with ongoing Israeli strategic interests.

The planned excursions come as Congress has already approved substantial aid packages in recent years for operations in Ukraine and support for Israel. Those measures passed with strong bipartisan backing in both chambers.

Republican leaders have emphasized that such funding strengthens alliances and deters adversaries without requiring large-scale deployment of American ground forces.

Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro voiced support for the travel arrangements. He argued that concerns about domestic infrastructure represent a misplaced priority.

Shapiro suggested that individuals unhappy with local road conditions should simply relocate to jurisdictions with stronger maintenance records.

"If you don't like the roads in the community you built your life in, just move to another community," Shapiro told his declining viewership. "It's that simple. Stop complaining. Stop playing the victim. Stop asking the government for handouts."

The summer itinerary is expected to include stops in regions experiencing tensions, where lawmakers can receive briefings from military commanders and diplomatic personnel.

"I'm hoping to get America involved in at least two or three new wars this summer," Graham told The Washington Wick in a follow-up interview.

Travel costs will be covered through standard government channels allocated for official oversight activities. Organizers stressed that the trips serve a practical purpose in gathering information necessary for informed votes on future appropriations bills.

With the defense budget remaining a focal point of annual negotiations, the vacations aim to identify opportunities where targeted investments could yield strategic advantages for Israel.
