Trump Introduces Bibi Netanyahu to the Dictionary Definition of the Word 'Peace'

On Friday, President Donald Trump reportedly introduced Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the dictionary definition of the word "peace" after Israel continued military operations despite ongoing efforts to end hostilities across the Middle East.

The meeting came as the United States worked to pursue a peace deal with Iran. According to White House officials, Trump became concerned after noticing that Israeli aircraft continued conducting strikes while everyone else was discussing ceasefires, negotiations, and de-escalation.

Sources said Trump entered the meeting carrying a large dictionary and opened it to the page containing the word "peace."

"It was incredible, nobody has ever seen anything like it," Trump told reporters. "I showed him the definition. Very simple word. Beautiful word, actually. One of the best words. He looked at it, and he was shocked. Completely shocked. He said, 'That's what it means?' I said, 'Yes, that's what it means.' Now the bombs can stop. We're making tremendous progress."

Witnesses said Netanyahu spent several minutes examining the page before asking aides whether the definition had recently been changed.

"I was confused," Netanyahu explained. "In Israel, we apparently have a different understanding of the term. I was under the impression that peace referred to a temporary period between military operations. The American definition appears to involve not attacking people at all, including women and children."

Officials familiar with the discussion said Netanyahu repeatedly flipped through the dictionary searching for footnotes, exceptions, and appendices that might redefine peace as a complex bombing campaign conducted in pursuit of future peace.

"There weren't any," one aide said.

The discovery reportedly prompted several moments of reflection as Netanyahu compared the dictionary entry to decades of Middle East policy.

Administration officials said the meeting concluded positively after Trump offered Netanyahu a complimentary pocket dictionary to take home.

"It's a great dictionary," Trump said. "The best. Very highly rated. We may hand them out all over the Middle East. A lot of people are going to learn some tremendous words."

At press time, regional leaders were reportedly preparing for a follow-up summit in which Trump planned to introduce participants to the dictionary definitions of "ceasefire," "restraint," and "stop."
