Man Who Voted for World Peace Celebrates Venezuela Strikes

A local man who voted for President Trump primarily because he promised to bring peace to the world found himself celebrating the large-scale military strikes on Venezuela that led to the capture of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife.

Joel White, a 48-year-old steelworker from Pittsburgh, told reporters he cast his ballot for Trump in 2024 after hearing repeated assurances that the administration would focus on ending wars and promoting global harmony.

The recent operation, which involved airstrikes on military targets in Caracas and a special forces raid that removed Maduro from power without prior congressional approval, caught White by surprise.

White stood atop Mt. Washington waving an American flag as news of the strikes broke. He said the explosions reported over the Venezuelan capital and the swift extraction of Maduro represented exactly the kind of bold leadership he supported.

“I didn’t even know I wanted this,” White said.

He added that the operation showed America taking decisive action against a leader long accused by U.S. officials of heading a narco-terrorist regime.

“We are winning again,” White screamed from the top of his lungs.

The strikes followed months of escalating pressure on Venezuela, including naval deployments in the Caribbean and previous actions against alleged drug trafficking networks tied to the government.

Maduro, indicted years ago in the United States on drug-related charges, was flown out of the country along with his wife, Cilia Flores, according to President Trump’s announcement.

White explained that his vote had been motivated by a desire for fewer overseas conflicts and the release of the Epstein files.

He now viewed the Venezuela operation as a necessary step that aligned with making America great again and explained that he couldn't care less about the Epstein files.

Neighbors reported hearing White cheer as television footage showed smoke rising over Venezuelan military sites. He described the capture as a complete success that proved his choice at the polls paid off in unexpected ways.
