Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro has joined the cast of the upcoming Jackass film, marking an unusual crossover for the franchise known for its dangerous pranks and physical comedy.
Production sources confirmed that Shapiro will appear in several segments alongside the regular crew, including Johnny Knoxville and Wee Man.
The movie, the latest entry following Jackass Forever, continues the series tradition of self-inflicted stunts and outrageous challenges.
“He kind of bullied his way onto the set,” said Johnny Knoxville. “But he’s the perfect fit, because he’s been acting like a jackass for decades.”
Knoxville added that the team welcomed the addition after Shapiro expressed interest during early planning stages.
The film will feature segments such as Shapiro explaining to Wee Man that he only deserves half the rights of a full-sized adult, harassing a black woman on the street while constantly revisiting the past, and attempting to debate a rampaging bull on why American teenagers must die in Israel's wars.
Wee Man described one planned bit involving a mock debate setup that turned into a physical prank.
"It was weird having him on set," Wee Man explained. "He kept talking about how the Daily Wire could produce a better film and kept suggesting that we sell him the rights."
The Jackass films have consistently drawn huge audiences by pushing boundaries with self-inflicted danger and crude humor. According to sources, this might be the bump Ben Shapiro needs to get his career back.
Paramount Pictures will release the untitled Jackass sequel nationwide on June 26.
