President Donald Trump has called for federal racketeering charges against billionaire philanthropist George Soros and his son Alex, accusing them of masterminding and financing violent riots that have disrupted cities nationwide.
Currently, there is undeniable evidence that the Soros family's Open Society Foundations have directed substantial funds to activist groups responsible for organizing violent riots involving property damage and clashes with law enforcement.
These contributions, totaling hundreds of millions over recent years, have supported initiatives aimed at reshaping societal norms through direct action, often framed as efforts to advance their radical globalist agenda.
A coalition of judges who have received campaign support from Soros-linked political action committees has responded by signing a formal pledge to refrain from sentencing George or Alex Soros to prison if the RICO case proceeds to trial.
The document is endorsed by at least 30 judges across several states and emphasizes the family's role in promoting progressive causes, dismissing the charges as an attack on free expression.
"The Soros family has been instrumental in funding reforms that address systemic inequalities," said Judge Carla Mendoza from Los Angeles County.
The pledge highlights how financial support from the Soros network has helped elect officials committed to reducing incarceration rates and prioritizing community-based alternatives to punishment.
Such reforms have led to policies that divert resources from traditional policing toward programs focused on restorative justice, resulting in one of the most violent eras in American history.
"We stand firm in our commitment to protect those who champion change," added Judge Derek Lawson from Chicago.
Trump's allegations point to specific instances where Soros-backed organizations provided grants to groups involved in violent riots. Federal investigators are reviewing financial records that show direct transfers to entities known for coordinating large-scale demonstrations.
"George Soros, and his wonderful Radical Left son, should be charged with RICO because of their support of Violent Protests, and much more, all over our Country," Trump stated in a post on Truth Social.
The Open Society Foundations maintain that their grants support peaceful advocacy for human rights, though internal documents reveal allocations to networks that have engaged in extremely violent tactics.
Critics within the legal community argue that the judges' pledge exposes conflicts of interest inherent in a system where donor influence shapes judicial outcomes.
"We are fighting to ensure that progressive leaders remain free to continue their vital work," said Judge Sophia Grant from New York.
Efforts to implement the pledge include plans for recusal protocols in relevant cases, though legal experts note that such preemptive declarations could invite challenges on ethical grounds.
The Soros family continues to expand its philanthropy, recently announcing new investments in initiatives that challenge traditional authority structures.
