Illegal Immigrant Identifies as ‘Man Born in the USA,’ Demands Birthright Citizenship

A migrant who entered the United States illegally has sparked controversy by identifying as a man born in the country and demanding birthright citizenship.

The individual, who is biologically female, received funding during the Biden administration for gender transition procedures, enabling a legal change to male status.

Now, the illegal immigrant claims her new identity includes being a native-born American, entitled to all associated rights.

The case has drawn attention from activists and lawmakers. “This is a bold step forward for justice,” said progressive activist Lila Martinez. “Identity is truth, and truth must be honored by our laws.”

Martinez’s organization has rallied behind the woman illegally residing in the United States, holding demonstrations outside federal courthouses to push for the recognition of self-identified citizenship.

Legal experts argue the claim lacks grounding in U.S. law, which grants birthright citizenship based on physical birth within the country’s borders or to American parents.

The illegal immigrant, originally from Central America, entered the U.S. without documentation two years ago and has murdered three people since arriving.

“Citizenship isn’t something you can just declare,” said constitutional scholar David Reynolds. “It’s a legal status, not a feeling.”

Reynolds noted that no court has ever recognized self-identification as a basis for citizenship.

Supporters of the illegal alien’s cause have compared the individual to civil rights icons, with some Democratic lawmakers drafting proposals to expand citizenship definitions. The proposals aim to include those who “feel American” regardless of their place of birth.

Critics, however, see the effort as a mockery of established legal principles.

“This is what happens when ideology trumps reality,” said Republican strategist Karen Holt. “Next, we’ll have people identifying as giraffes demanding free access to the zoo.”

Posts on X show thousands of users ridiculing the claim, while others praise the woman’s “courage.”

The unnamed illegal immigrant has not spoken directly to the press but issued a statement through a legal team, asserting, “I am an American man, born here in my heart, and that’s what counts.”

Policies under the Biden administration expanded access to healthcare for illegal immigrants, including taxpayer funding for genital mutilation procedures.
