Ted Cruz Waits Patiently in a Dark Room for the United States to Attack Iran

Senator Ted Cruz has taken up residence in a darkened corner of the Capitol, where he sits and refuses to represent his constituents in the Senate until the United States launches military strikes against Iran.

The Texas Republican explained that he has grown tired of waiting for the inevitable and decided to make himself comfortable in the shadows rather than return to the Senate floor.

Cruz has spent years urging aggressive action against the Iranian regime, frequently highlighting its support for terrorism and threats to Israel as reasons for American intervention.

Recent tensions have intensified with ongoing protests inside Iran met by a harsh crackdown, prompting President Trump to warn of severe consequences and keep military options open. U.S. forces have repositioned assets in the region amid the unrest.

"I know it's coming, and I'm going to sit and wait here until it does," Cruz said.

He added that his position reflects a long-standing conviction that regime change in Tehran would enhance American security and stability in the Middle East.

The senator noted that previous U.S. actions, including strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities last year, demonstrated Washington's willingness to act decisively against the ayatollah's government. Those operations followed Israeli campaigns that targeted key infrastructure and weakened Tehran's military position.

"President Trump could get me back on the Senate floor today if he would just drop one more bomb," Cruz continued.

He expressed confidence that an American bombing run would swiftly follow any further escalation in Iran's domestic repression, allowing him to resume legislative duties without delay.

Cruz emphasized that his vigil requires no additional resources beyond the patience he has cultivated over years of advocating for a firmer stance toward Iran.

Staff members have delivered water and occasional updates on regional developments, though the senator has declined to engage in other Senate business until the expected attack occurs.

The Capitol remains quiet around his chosen location, with only routine foot traffic passing by the dimly lit area. Colleagues have expressed mild curiosity about the arrangement but have not interfered with Cruz's personal commitment to the cause.
