Following his statement, the Israeli government launched an official Fund the Fight Challenge account, encouraging participants to tag their videos with #NextWarNow for a chance to be featured on state media.
The challenge’s appeal lies in its blend of fun and purpose, allowing teens to flex their content creation skills while supporting a cause they’ve been told is critical to global stability. Many participants have cited recent tensions in the Middle East, including ongoing conflicts involving Iran-backed groups and Israel’s military operations in Gaza and Lebanon, as their inspiration.
The funds raised are reportedly being funneled to a network of nonprofits tied to Israeli defense initiatives, though the teens seem less concerned with the logistics and more focused on outdoing each other’s viral stunts.

A history teacher from Texas was seen in a viral clip leading her class in a synchronized dance routine to raise money, complete with cardboard cutouts of fighter jets.
The fervor has even caught the attention of celebrities, with several influencers joining the challenge by auctioning off signed merchandise to boost donations.
Netanyahu has hinted at taking the trend to the next level.
“We’re working on something big,” he teased in a follow-up video. “Soon, we’ll launch a challenge where American teens can sign up to serve in the IDF, right from their phones!”
