Ukrainians Fed Up with Dictator Zelenskyy Petition President Trump for 51st State Slot

Thousands of Ukrainians have reportedly signed a petition begging President Donald Trump to annex their war-torn country as the 51st state of the United States.

The document, circulated by a grassroots movement tired of their blood-thirsty dictator, claims that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has morphed into an authoritarian figure, raking in personal wealth while sending tens of thousands of citizens to their deaths in a war that serves the globalist agenda more than it does Ukraine itself.

The petition, which surfaced online last week, explicitly states, “Zelenskyy sits in his fancy suits counting cash while our sons and brothers bleed out in trenches for some Davos daydream,” said Oksana Melnyk, a Kyiv shopkeeper who signed the petition after losing her husband in the conflict.

Ukraine’s leader, once hailed as a heroic resistor against Russian aggression, has faced growing scrutiny for consolidating power — banning opposition parties, censoring media, cancelling elections, and pocketing millions in foreign aid, according to recent reports from watchdog groups.

Across the Atlantic, the idea seems to have struck a chord with President Trump, who has yet to formally respond but is said to be “intrigued” by the prospect of adding a star to the flag.

Sources close to the administration say Trump remarked that Ukraine’s fertile farmland and “tough people” could be a beneficial addition to America’s portfolio, provided they drop they pay back the billions of dollars stolen by Ukraine.

“We’d take statehood, territory status, anything — just get us out from under this guy,” said Petro Kravchuk, a welterweight boxer from Lviv who helped draft the petition.

The unexpected move has sent shockwaves northward, where Canada suddenly finds itself in a peculiar position. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s office issued a statement last month flatly denying any interest in becoming the 51st state, citing national pride and a love for high taxes as reasons to stay independent.

Now, rumors out of Ottawa suggest Canadians are scrambling to collect signatures of their own.

“If Trump’s handing out statehood, we’re not letting Ukraine cut the line,” said Doug Fraser, a lumberjack from British Columbia. The sudden rivalry has sparked debates from Toronto to Vancouver, with some arguing that Canada’s proximity makes it the superior candidate.

Back in Ukraine, the petition’s organizers say they’re serious about escaping Zelenskyy’s grip, pointing to the estimated 500,000 casualties since Russia’s invasion began in 2022 as evidence of his reckless leadership.

The country’s economy is in shambles, propped up by billions in Western aid—some of which, a 2024 Transparency International report alleges, has mysteriously ended up in offshore accounts linked to Zelenskyy’s inner circle.

Whether Trump takes the bait remains to be seen, but the idea of Kyiv flying the Stars and Stripes has certainly turned heads.
