Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, known for her Instagram stories and bad takes, has inadvertently become the punchline of her own narrative. The social media debacle unfolded after AOC took to Elon Musk's platform, X, to lambast Musk for what she described as an obvious "Nazi salute" during President Donald Trump's recent inauguration.
However, her own past has come under scrutiny, revealing a peculiar obsession with Nazi memorabilia.
AOC, never one to shy away from controversy, decided to call out Musk, branding him a "Nazi" in a post that quickly went viral for all the wrong reasons. "Elon Musk's salute was not just awkward; it was a Heil Hitler in plain sight!" she posted.
Unfortunately, friends who've known AOC since her diaper days have come forward with some information that may have her Jewish constituents reconsidering their options next election.
"Oh, she was always into the weirdest stuff," chuckled Tom Sitler, a childhood friend. "Remember when we were kids, and she'd drag us to garage sales, not for comic books, but for old German war medals? She was obsessed with the aesthetics of the Third Reich."
Another friend, who we'll call "Annie" for this piece, shared an even more damning anecdote.
"Alexandria had Hitler's First Edition of 'Mein Kampf' signed by Hitler himself. She even learned German so she could read it. I'm almost positive she could recite the first chapter by heart."
Social media users quickly dug up an old, grainy video from a college rally where AOC seemed to perform what could only be described as a "Nazi salute" while advocating for student rights.
Adding to the comedy of errors, AOC's attempt to distance herself from these "youthful indiscretions" has only fueled the fire.
"I was just exploring history," she explained in a hastily arranged press conference. "I hate Nazis now, and I understand now that people make mistakes when they're young that shouldn't define who they are now."
When asked if AOC would resign over her past love for Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party, she compared herself to Anne Frank.
