USAID's $4 Million Mistake: Zelenskyy Meets Ben Stiller When Hoping to Meet Ryan Reynolds

Writer: Chadwick DolgosChadwick Dolgos

Vladimir Zelenskyy expressed his disappointment upon learning that the Hollywood star he met was Ben Stiller, not Ryan Reynolds as he had believed.

This revelation came after Elon Musk's Department of Efficiency exposed that USAID had allocated $4 million to fund Stiller's visit to Ukraine, allegedly to bolster American support for the ongoing conflict.

According to an anonymous source within Zelenskyy's administration, the Ukrainian president was under the impression that he was meeting with Reynolds, known for his subpar movies, philanthropy, and ownership of Wrexham AFC.

"Zelenskyy was so thrilled, thinking he was rubbing shoulders with Deadpool himself," the whistleblower told The Washington Wick.

The confusion stems from Zelenskyy's admitted difficulty in distinguishing between the two white actors, a fact that has now become a point of ridicule among his close circle.

The source continued, "He had already bragged to everyone about meeting Ryan Reynolds, only to find out it was Ben Stiller. It's quite embarrassing, really."

The situation was further complicated by recent legal troubles involving Ryan Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively.

With this news, Zelenskyy remarked that he would have preferred meeting Vince Vaughn instead. "At least Vince has memorable movies," Zelenskyy reportedly joked to his staff.

The use of such high-profile figures in diplomatic endeavors, especially when funded by taxpayer money, has raised eyebrows and questions about the effectiveness and ethics of such strategies.

"They paid $4 million for BEN STILLER?! That's retarded," said one user on X.

The situation also serves as a reminder that using celebrities to promote wars and political agendas has become less effective in swaying public opinion.
