Vape Shop Owner Opens New Location Directly Inside Local Children's Daycare

A local vape shop owner has expanded his business by opening a new location inside Kidz Kare, a popular children's daycare center in Disappointment, Colorado.

Arnold Yung, proprietor of Yung Vapes & More, said the setup allows parents to browse nicotine products, kratom, and related items while their children attend classes just feet away.

Parents arriving to drop off or pick up their kids expressed immediate alarm at the arrangement. Many worried that curious toddlers could reach flavored vape cartridges or accessories displayed at child height near the entrance.

One mother described seeing her three-year-old wander toward a display case filled with brightly colored devices during pickup time.

"I think he's trying to groom toddlers into being vapers when they're older," the mother told The Washington Wick.

Yung dismissed the concerns and praised the location as ideal for his operations.

"Parents stop in for a variety of products before picking up their children for the day," he said. "It's the perfect business model."

The store stocks an array of disposable vapes, e-liquids in fruit and candy flavors, kratom, and smoking accessories. Staff members operate the counter during regular daycare hours, which run from early morning until late afternoon to accommodate working families.

State regulations require vape shops to verify customer age, yet the proximity to nap rooms and play mats has raised practical questions about enforcement.

Yung noted that foot traffic from the daycare provides a steady stream of adult customers who already visit the facility daily. He plans to add promotional bundles aimed at parents, including quick-purchase options for those running late for afternoon pickups.

Daycare operators have not commented publicly on the revenue-sharing agreement that made the shared space possible.

Health officials have long warned about the risks of nicotine exposure to developing brains, particularly for children under six who make up the majority of the center's enrollment.

Accidental ingestion of even small amounts of vape liquid can cause serious harm, according to standard medical guidance. Despite this, Yung maintains that the setup simply brings convenience to an underserved market.

The new location continues to operate as families weigh whether to seek alternative care arrangements for their children.
