Man Picks Up Overtime Shifts to Do His Part for Israel

An Arizona male nurse has taken it upon himself to bolster America’s support for Israel by working extra shifts to increase his tax contributions.

Larry Loomer, a 32-year-old from Tucson, said he feels a personal duty to ensure his government sends as much aid as possible to Israel for its ongoing military campaigns.

Loomer, who has been diagnosed with multiple mental health conditions, is ineligible for military service but views his overtime work as a patriotic sacrifice.

“I’m doing what I can to make sure our greatest ally has everything they need,” Loomer said, after a 16-hour shift at Tucson General Hospital. “If I can work harder and skip a meal or two to send a few more dollars to Israel, that’s my fight.”

Israel’s conflicts in the region have intensified, with the U.S. providing billions in military aid annually, including advanced weaponry and financial support.

Loomer’s dedication caught international attention after he posted about his efforts on social media, prompting a direct response from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Netanyahu, known for his close ties to U.S. policymakers, praised Loomer’s commitment.

To streamline the nurse’s contributions, the prime minister sent Loomer his personal CashApp handle.

“Larry’s sacrifice shows the unbreakable bond between our nations,” Netanyahu said. “I told him to cut out the middleman and send funds directly to me for our defense needs.”

Loomer, who lives in a modest one-bedroom apartment and spends his free time crying about not receiving enough attention, has since reduced his grocery budget to prioritize his financial support.

He calculates that each overtime shift adds roughly $12 to his federal taxes, a sum he imagines going straight to Israel's endless wars.

The nurse’s coworkers have noted his fervor, though some expressed concern about his health. Loomer remains undeterred, stating he’s inspired by America’s unwavering commitment to Israel’s security. “

I don’t need much,” Loomer said. “Knowing I’m helping Bibi keep the region safe is enough for me.”
