TikToker Targets Elon Musk with Death Threat, Also Confesses to JonBenét Ramsey Murder

Writer: Chadwick DolgosChadwick Dolgos

A TikTok personality known for fiery political rants has escalated his online antics, posting a video last week that called for the assassination of tech mogul Elon Musk while also claiming responsibility for the unsolved 1996 murder of JonBenét Ramsey.

The self-described Democratic Socialist influencer, who goes by the handle @DOGEisCriminal, delivered his shocking statements to an audience of over 300,000 followers, sparking outrage and a swift response from federal authorities.

The video, which has since been removed from TikTok but widely shared on X, featured the creator pacing in front of a “Resist Capitalism” banner.

“Elon Musk is a threat to humanity, and someone needs to take him out — preferably yesterday,” he declared, before pivoting to a stunning confession. “Also, I killed JonBenét Ramsey. That’s been weighing on me for decades, so there you go.”

Details surrounding the JonBenét Ramsey case, a high-profile mystery involving the death of a six-year-old beauty pageant star in Boulder, Colorado, have remained unresolved for nearly 30 years. Authorities initially suspected family members, but no one was ever convicted, leaving the case a staple of true crime fascination.

The TikToker’s admission, while likely fabricated, has reignited public speculation just as a new Paramount+ series on the murder starring Melissa McCarthy and Clive Owen prepares to debut.

Ed Martin, the acting U.S. Attorney in Washington, D.C., confirmed that his office is investigating the influencer’s threats against Musk.

“We take any call to violence seriously, and this individual is now on our radar,” Martin stated in a post on X. The attorney’s office has also flagged the Ramsey confession as a potential lead, though sources suggest skepticism about its credibility given the creator’s history of provocative stunts.

Reaction to the video has been predictably polarized, with Musk himself responding on X with a cryptic, “Everybody dies, but not everybody lives.” The Tesla CEO’s comment came hours after the clip surfaced, adding fuel to an already blazing controversy.

Federal agents are no strangers to @DOGEisCriminal's antics, as he previously praised Thomas Matthew Crooks in a 2024 video that earned him a brief stint in local headlines. Unlike that episode, which ended with a stern warning, this latest outburst has drawn the attention of higher authorities.

“He’s not just a keyboard warrior anymore — he’s crossed into territory that demands accountability,” said former FBI profiler Janet Kessler, who now consults on cybercrime cases.

Progressive activists have rallied to the TikToker’s defense, arguing his statements were hyperbolic expressions of frustration with wealth inequality.

“Elon’s untouchable status is what’s really criminal here,” said Lila Monroe, a spokesperson for the grassroots group Eat the Rich Now. The organization has faced its own scrutiny after hosting a rally last month where attendees ate cookies resembling prominent billionaires, including Musk.

Musk, currently overseeing the Department of Government Efficiency under President Donald Trump, has been a lightning rod for criticism from the left due to his wealth and political influence. His recent push to dismantle federal agencies like USAID has only deepened the divide.

“This is what happens when you let billionaires run the show — people get desperate,” remarked political commentator Greg Vance, who hosts a popular podcast dissecting government overreach.

As the investigation unfolds, @DOGEisCriminal remains unapologetic, teasing a forthcoming “manifesto” that he claims will “blow the lid off everything.”
