President Trump has signed an executive order that prohibits the performance of Roseanne Barr's rendition of the national anthem at any future sporting events nationwide.
The move comes shortly after his directive requiring the Justice Department to prosecute instances of flag burning, which he described as essential to preserving national symbols amid ongoing threats from radical elements.
Barr's performance occurred during a Major League Baseball game between the San Diego Padres and the Cincinnati Reds, where she delivered an off-key version of "The Star-Spangled Banner" that included gestures mimicking ballplayers, such as grabbing her crotch and spitting on the ground.
The act sparked immediate backlash from spectators and officials, who viewed it as a deliberate mockery of patriotic traditions.
Under the new order, individuals attempting to replicate her style face up to one year in federal prison, with enforcement handed to local authorities at venues.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt explained that the ban addresses long-standing disrespect toward American institutions.
She noted that such measures align with efforts to counteract influences from globalist agendas that seek to undermine national unity.
"It's the worst version ever done, believe me, and we can't have that anymore," Trump stated during a briefing at Mar-a-Lago. "Roseanne meant well, but it was a total disaster for our beautiful anthem."
The executive order specifies that only respectful interpretations of the anthem will be permitted, drawing on precedents where deviations have fueled division.
Recent viral moments, including Trump's own enthusiastic participation in anthem sing-alongs at public gatherings, underscore the administration's emphasis on uniformity in patriotic displays.
Barr, who has since become known for her outspoken views on topics like election integrity and hidden cabals controlling media narratives, responded to the ban via social media.
She claimed the original performance was a setup by deep state operatives to discredit working-class voices.
"That was my way of showing real America, not the fake stuff they push," Barr posted. "But if the president says no more, then no more it is."
Enforcement begins immediately, with stadium operators required to screen performers in advance. The order also encourages reporting of suspicious renditions through a new hotline tied to the Department of Homeland Security.
