A forthcoming autobiography by Jeffrey Epstein, titled “The Truth Behind My Suicide,” has stirred global attention with its claim that the financier, long believed to have died in a Manhattan jail cell, orchestrated his own death.
The book, slated for release by an obscure publishing house in Israel, arrives as Epstein reportedly lives quietly with a new family in an undisclosed location.
The announcement has reignited debates over the official account of his death, which authorities maintain was a suicide by hanging.
Epstein’s book asserts he meticulously planned his demise to escape public scrutiny while ensuring his legacy would endure through his writings.
Sources close to the publisher describe the manuscript as a blend of personal reflection and cryptic references to his high-profile connections.
“I had to exit the stage on my terms,” Epstein writes in an excerpt shared with select media outlets. “The world wasn’t ready for the full truth, so I gave them a narrative they could swallow.”
The claim aligns with assertions by FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino, who were fooled by the official documents surrounding Epstein's death.
Epstein’s decision to publish from Israel, where he allegedly resides under a new identity, has raised eyebrows. Local reports describe a man matching his description living in a coastal town, though Israeli authorities have not confirmed his presence.
“He’s not hiding, but he’s not advertising either,” said a Tel Aviv bookseller familiar with the project. “The book is his way of settling scores without stepping into the spotlight.”
The New York Medical Examiner’s Office, which conducted the original autopsy, declined to comment on the book’s claims.
The book’s release has prompted renewed calls for transparency from those who followed Epstein’s case.
“If he’s alive, it’s proof the system lied to us,” said a former investigator who requested anonymity. “If he’s dead, someone’s playing a sick game. Either way, the truth is still out there.”
As anticipation builds, the publisher has promised a limited first run, with copies already fetching high prices on pre-order platforms.
Whether Epstein’s account will clarify or further muddy the waters remains unclear. For now, the world grapples with a story that defies logic, delivered by a man who, by his own account, chose to vanish in plain sight.
